Just came back from orientation dinner.. basically it was a simple party consisting of dinner, games and a special snack.. Dinner was a cold noodle broth with additional sides of tempura, sushi, soup, watermelon and shredded lettuce..
After dinner, we played a simple game of broken telephone. We were supposed to act out the actions shown to us by previous group member and the last member has to guess the item. All the items are specialties of Akita.
There was a special surprise after the games.. the snack given was called Kakigori and basically it is shaved ice with favoured colored syrups and favoured jellies, similar to ice kachang back in Singapore. The snack made me miss my home..
