AEON Mall Visit 10th July 2012
Yesterday was rather mundane. After lessons, I had lunch and conversation class. Was supposed to go for a meeting for the summer programme closing ceremony slideshow but I wasn't feeling well so I skipped it. Near evening, my friends asked me out and we went to the AEON mall to cut our hair and have dinner. However, the haircut was too expensive at 2500yen (S$40) so we decided not to cut there then. We bought some desserts such cream puffs and more savoury food such as chicken cutlet and had initially wanted to go back to school to eat dinner. However, we were tempted by the food at AEON mall and ended up having dinner at a pasta restaurant. Jerrine and Meiqin shared a plate of Omu Rice (Fried Rice with omelette) and a plate of cheesy tomato pasta, while I had a plate of nepolitian pasta. As the restaurant had the practice of offering three different pasta amounts for the same price, I immediately had to take up the challenge of the largest offering of 400g. It was a huge plate that had twice the amount of the usual pasta serving and was probably 4x the amount of pasta served at pastamania (with upsized pasta). The sauce was decent and the ingredients fresh, but there were very little ingredients to go with the pasta. It cost me 880yen (S$14) and was very worth it for the large quantity and decent quality. We decided to then eat our chicken cutlets and our desserts. The chicken cutlets were really crispy and tender, but came at an expensive price 350yen (S$6) per piece from the supermarket. The cream puffs and eclairs were on offer at the shop beside the supermarket and I bought a cream puff larger than the size of my fist for only 100yen ($1.60)!
