A fraction of the clique decided to head to Akita Beach today while the rest shopped at akita city itself. As I am not sure of the exact name of the beach, I'll just call it as Akita Beach. The entire entourage consisted of Chee Wee, Wei Xiang, Tan Wen, Meiqin, Yan Ting and I. As Chee Wee, Wei Xiang and Tan Wen were trying to find out more information about a future trip, from the tourist counter, the girls and I headed for some quick shopping. I took the opportunity to raid Muji for some stationary and kitchenware. We also took the chance to try some waffle ice-creams. Along the way, something unfortunate happened. I forgetfully left my camera behind at the ice-cream counter but thank God they were very nice to pass it to the customer service counterstaff and I was able to retrieve it. However due to the loss in time, we were unable to have a good meal and resorted to cold bento meals from Lawsons.
Chee Wee and Wei Xiang wanted to go to the Zoo first so we all alighted at the Zoo and while they two went to the Zoo, the rest of us headed for the beach first. We spent our time at the beach picking shells, enjoying the beautiful waters and flora and had a wonderful time of chatting and fellowship. At around 5pm, Chee Wee and Wei Xiang joined us and the six of us watched the sun set past the vast Sea of Japan and when it got dark, we headed for the nearest train station since the bus services had stopped. We trekked down the beach for around 800m before deciding to head to the road itself and we walked for about 5km before we reached the train station. It was already dark then, around 2100h, and we had to wait for the 2145h train to Akita Station before waiting 40mins for the 2235h train to Wada Station. At Wada station, we called for and took two cabs back to AIU.
