Haircut today!! 12th July 2012

Had always wanted to cut my hair in a foreign country, and where else to cut but in the fashionable and trendy Japan! Meiqin, Jerrine and I headed off for AEON where we had found out that there is a salon near the mall that offer haircuts and prices lower than the average of 2500yen (S$40) for men. WE visited the ice-cream fair in AEON itself before heading out to the streets in search for our hair salon. There were many varieties of ice-cream and due to my cough, I was not allowed to eat chocolate flavours. I ended up with a single soft-serve cone, of the sake flavour. It was interesting as the soft-serve had the flavour of sake but lack the alcohol content. After showing the hairdresser a photograph of the haircut I would like to hair, he begun to work on my hair. After 30 mins of cutting and trimming, he was finally done and I was left with a shorter crop of hair with enough length down the middle, from the forehead to the back of my neck, so that I can do a pseudo-mohawk hairstyle. Jerrine went for the kawaii straight bangs shoulder length hair while Meiqin went for the gradient-bob hairstyle. Meiqin had wanted a bob hairstyle with the hair cut straight at the back but the hairdresser did not comprehend us and gave her a gradient cut instead. We then went to buy groceries and headed back to AIU on the 1805h bus.
