We decided to go Akita City today and since we did spend quite a fair bit of time at the market, I shall dedicate a post solely to the market. It is a contrast from the typical Singaporean wet market as it is clean, odourless and quiet. In addition, the stalls are all fully open even at 12noon, which is typically past the peak hour for Singaporean wet markets. The variety of stalls here are similar to those found in Singapore though, with sundry stalls along the fringe and the meats right deep inside the market itself. Beside the market are a couple of restaurants and street-side stalls. We had our lunch at a medium-sized restaurant within the restaurant itself and after lunch, we headed for some much-awaited shopping back at the malls beside the train station. Shopping with YanTing and Meiqin was really fun and it was practically like three girls shopping around! :P
