Day out with my new friend 21st July 2012

Went out with Meiqin today to hang out at Akita City. We forgot that there was no free shuttle from AEON to Akita today so when we reached AEON Mall, we had to take the public bus! When we reached Akita, we walked around and visited Senshu Park and walked through the usual malls. Lunch was at a simple udon shop at the basement of the mall with Topico. After lunch, we continued to walk around, explore the area around the train station before heading over to the fine arts museum to check out the supermarket there. Coincidentally, there was some summer festival celebrations going on there and the place was filled with food stores and a performance on the stage. It felt a little like the Pasar Malam (Periodic street markets of Singapore). We had dinner at an izakaya called Hanami and even though the place was a little smokey, we were given a room to ourselves and the food was really delicious! We took the last train to Wada station where we had planned to walk back to AIU in the total darkness. It was really fun walking back, with our handphones as torchlight, GPS for navigation and each other for company. It was such a good opportunity for some HTHT, as usual. Eventually we reached back school safely, an hour later. =)
