Today was Sunday, and thus we headed out of school early in the morning for Akita City. We took the shuttle bus to Wada Station before taking the train to Akita Station. We headed for the Citizen Market but unfortunately we only found out that it was closed on Sundays only after we arrived at the place. We then headed for the Aka-renga Folk Museum and the Kanto Museum. While leaving the folk museum, we took an amazing "find wally"-kind-of photograph where we hid among the photo and revealed only our faces. After the Kanto Museum, we had lunch at a 'nearby' cafe that had an extremely limited menu. The guys ordered a variety of Omu Rice (Fried rice in omelette), spaghetti and hamburger steak while the girls ordered the same, plus pizza. The food was about same price as in Singapore and was delicious! After lunch, we headed for the shopping malls and proceeded to explore whatever the mall had to offer. Yan Ting and I wandered off and explored all 6 stories. The top two floors were offices and meeting places while the middle three floors were departmental stores and the bottom-most floor was a supermarket. I ended up buying some gifts for my girlfriend and we both bought snacks/chocolates from the supermarket! We ended the day by sharing a triple-scoop ice-cream from Baskin' Robbins. They had really unique flavours and we had Strawberry Cheesecake, Love Potion and Caramel Ribbon! The entire group then headed back to AIU for dinner before parting ways to benkyooshimas (study) for our impending tests/quizzes tomorrow!
PS: Don't mind that kissing scene with that mannequin. It's completely staged and I'm 101% faithful to my girl!
PPS: Yan Ting looks like a zombie in the pre-lunch photos due to lack of food and sleep.
