青木せんせい は おおさか（double o; 大阪）へ いきました（past tense)。（青木先生は大阪へ行きました。）As a particle, は is read as 'wa'. Therefore you should use は rather than わ, which is simply a character. A lot of people get confused because of the pronunciation change.-Natalie
